My Favorite Lipbalms!

Everyone who knows me knows that I love lip balms. And I mean love. Although I have a quite extensive lipstick collection, most of the time I just go for a lip balm. I find balms to be more comfortable and so much easier. There's no digging around in your purse trying to find your little mirror before you can apply (honestly, that's the most irritating thing about lipsticks, for me). With balms you can just pull it out and slather it all over your lips without worrying about the lines.
EOS and Maybelline Baby Lips are probably the two biggest balms out there. While I use both, I have to say that Baby Lips is my favorite. Baby Lips has a very thin, buttery consistency that I look for in a balm, whereas EOS is waxy and much thicker consistency, not to mention the bulky package. For this reason, I usually use Baby Lips while I'm out and about and keep my EOS balms at home. Another reason why I like Baby Lips over EOS is because of all of the color options you have. EOS, I believe, only comes off clear. I have not tried all of the colors Maybelline offers,  they have so many to choose from! Here are the six that I have tried.
The top color, Cherry Me, is from the original line, and is one of my favorites. It comes off more pink than red on camera, but in person it's this great natural red that can really pull a look together. I'm normally afraid of reds, but this is just a tint, so it's not quite so scary. One thing that might bother some is that fact that all Baby Lips have a flavor. I'm not big on flavored lipsticks or balms, but these don't bother me. The flavors are all very light and I don't even notice after a few minutes. Cherry Me, as you might have guessed, taste likes cherry candy.
The second color is probably my current favorite and is also an original. Pink Punch is this fantastic "Barbie Pink" that makes you feel super girly and pretty without needing a face full of makeup. The one downside is that it tastes like peaches, I hate peaches, although the flavor is so light that it only bothers me for a moment.
The middle swatch is from the Crystals line and is in the shade Pink Quartz. This is the only Crystals balm I have tried and I can tell you that I won't be buying another one. I just don't like it. It's irritating on the lips because you can feel the glitter chunks. And the color payoff isn't that great. Also, this is the only flavor that does bother me. It might just be me, but I find that this one is particularly strong and tastes like Smarties candy.
The fourth one down is from the Electrics line and is in Pink Shock. I love this color because it's a very wearable hot pink. Statement lips are not for me, but this is one color I can pull off. It's like a muted statement lip. Also, it tastes like pink lemonade, which I love!
The bottom color is from the Dr. Rescue line and is one of my least favorites, only being beat by the Crystals one. The shade is Just Peachy, which is a warm peach. IT smells of menthol, just like all of the Dr. Rescues, although my problem with it is that it washes me out. For someone who is particularly pale, this would probably look great, but this one isn't for me.
The last Baby Lips that I own is the Dr. Rescue Too Cool. I did not swatch this as it is clear, but this is my go-to. This is in my pocket every day, not even kidding. It's very moisturizing, like all of the Dr. Rescues, but I like this one because it's clear and super easy for school.
